August Daily Video Trade Results MTD: 8/10 +243 Pips

Hopefully this weekend (if everything goes smooth)we will be
permanently moved to our new dedicated server and we will no
longer have any speed or downtime issues with the site. These
are good problems to have because they are due to demand, but
we are trying to quickly work through these growing pains until
we are a well oiled machine.

The managed accounts took a realized profit of another 2% this
week bringing the total realized profit on closed positions to
over 4% while the core position is still down 10%.

Here is a recap of the Daily Video Commentary which you can

We didn't score as high this week as we did during the Non-Farm
payroll last week, but we nailed 6 out of 7 trades for a profit
of 189 pips. Not bad. In August so far, we are 8 for 10 (80%)
for a total profit of 243 pips. Here were the trades from this
week:

8/8/2007 USD/CHF Short 1.1995 1.1971 24 pip gain

This Week

The EUR/USD came right to our price zone at 1.3625-50 with a
low of 1.3642 before bouncing higher to a high of 1.3705. That
was a 63 pip gain. I still think price is going to have a tough
time breaking through the 1.3625-50 area because we have several
support levels in that zone. There is a .382 fib on the daily
chart at 1.3627 and S2 on the 60M chart is at 1.3628. There
is the main pivot on the daily chart at 1.3654 and a S1 pivot
on the 60m chart at 1.3645. That is a lot of resistance to
get through on a pair that is in a longer term uptrend. P/T's
will be 1.3671 (MP on 60M), 1.3688 (R1 on 60M) and 1.3715
(.382 fib and R2 on the 60M)

Last Week

The EUR/USD went only 30 pips below the level we were looking
at to go long as it hit a low of 1.3610 this week. It hit our
profit target level of 1.3742. We are looking for price to
retrace back to 1.3625-50 before possibly taking another
long position.

The Forex Crystal Ball +86 Pips!!!

Check out the online version.   Divergence: The Forex Crystal Ball Buy/Sell Pressure Divergence is the most accurate indicator that I use to predict price reversals in the Forex market. The Buy/Sell Pressure indicator measures the strength of a specific candle move by representing how many buyers or sellers are causing that price action. Green means there are more buyers in the market making up that candle's move and red means there are more sellers in the market driving price down. On the USD/CHF 60 minute chart you can see the green and red bars near the bottom. What do I mean by Buy/Sell Pressure Divergence? Divergence is when the buy/sell pressure indicates that the price should be moving in the opposite direction than what the current price is doing. For example, if price makes a new swing high say at 1.2059, we should expect buy pressure to also make a new high. When buy pressure can't make a new high, we have divergence. This is a strong signal that the market is going to reverse. Many traders like using divergence with an indicator like MACD, but that indicator lags the market and gets you into the trade too late. I'll give you a recent real market example that shows how quickly and accurately buy/sell divergence gets you into a trade. On 7/31/07 (the candle indicated by arrow #1) at 10:00 ET, price spiked to a new high of 1.2 065. If you look at the buy/sell pressure indicator near the bottom of the chart (indicated by arrow #2) not only did buy pressure not make a new high, it's red indicating sellers taking over the market. This is a clear sign that the bulls can't maintain those new highs and price is coming down. You can see from the chart, price immediately dropped from a high of 1.2065 to 1.1979 in less than a day which was an 86 pip gain on that short trade. A trader following this simple indicator could have entered the trade at or very near the high and participated in the full gain on the way down. This strategy can be used on smaller time frame charts like a 15 or 5 minute. It is also very powerful when combined with support/resistance indicators like pivot points and Fibonacci retracement levels giving the trader a lower risk, higher probability trade set up. Many followers of pivot point trading in particular get frustrated by not knowing which pivot points are going to hold. Buy/Sell divergence solves that problem by letting the trader know how strong the moves are going into those support and resistance levels. You no longer have to trade blind. Forex Secret #5-When Close Enough Isn't Close At All

FX Secret #5 When “Close Enough” Isn’t Close At All   Dear FX Top Gun, If your homebuilder put your house together within .01 inches of the specs, he’d be called a master builder to the tenth degree. But if you get that sloppy with your FX trading, you’ll be dead in the water. And, believe it or not, for many traders, the difference between great profits and horrible loses is just that simple… they just need to be a little more exact in their numbers. Yup, there’s no doubt about it… sloppy, loose, non-exact, lazy figures are why 95% of FX traders get eaten by the sharks. Here’s the good news… Simple Problem = Simple Solution I love this secret to FX trading because the answer is so simple. Without any skill level, training, or practice you can fix the problem immediately… and get results immediately. Want to know how you fix the problem and boost your profits? All right, listen carefully…   Only use indicators that can accurately tell you the EXACT price in which to enter and exit the market.   I told you it was simple! If you are using pivot points, for example, and want to short the EUR/USD when it hits a resistance pivot point at 1.3500, then that is a valid entry price for your trade.  Don’t move it up to 1.3505 or drop it down to 1.3495. If 1.3500 is your target, then use that EXACTLY. The same is true if you are using pivot points for profit targets.  Using the same example, if the next support pivot is at 1.3450 (not 1.3455 or 1.3400… it’s 1.3450!), then that is a valid exit price and an accurate one.  This allows you to know your trade set up well in advance and you can put that trade on with no emotion (And remember, being able to trade without emotion and follow a pre-set strategy is absolutely key to winning big with Forex.) Using these numbers, setting up this trade would look something like this:   Short EUR/USD at 1.3500, Profit Target at 1.3450, Stop loss at 1.3515.   It’s a good idea to limit your downside risk to 10-15 pips above that resistance level since that would make your trade invalid, as price did not hold at that point.  Then, let the trade go. Obviously, the key to this whole thing is having indicators that are accurate and give you EXACT numbers. Without those kinds of precision tools, you will definitely find yourself among the 95% of FX traders that lose money. And I’m guessing that you don’t want to be there... I’m guessing you’d much rather crank out profits month, after month, after month… As you know, not long ago I took my 11 plus years of FX trading experience and decided to roll it all up in one location. Well, OK, not ALL my experience, but a healthy chunk of it to start off with… and then I’ll add more stuff as we go.
