August Daily Video Trade Results MTD: 10/15 (67%) +292 Pips

The managed accounts took a realized profit of another 2% this
week bringing the total realized profit on closed positions to
over 6% while the core position slid down to -27% mostly on the
USD/JPY fall. In this hedged strategy, we simply wait until the
core position comes back to positive territory before re-allocating
the fund. In the meantime, we will continue to take small intra
day profits.

This week was challenging as the markets reversed course and
the EUR/USD and GBP/USD headed sharply lower along with the
USD/JPY. We went 2 for 5 for +49 pips. This goes to show
you the importance of solid money management. We were only
correct on 40% of the trades but managed to come away with a
profit for the week:

8/14/2007 EUR/USD Long 1.3562 - (20) pip loss
8/14/2007 USD/CHF Short 1.209 - (20) pip loss
8/15/2007 EUR/USD Long 1.3458 1.35 42 pip gain
8/15/2007 USD/CHF Short 1.2171 - (20) pip loss
8/16/2007 EUR/USD Short 1.3447 1.338 67 pip gain

TOTAL PROFIT +49 Pips

*On trades with multiple profit targets, we are moving our stop
to the entry price once the first profit target is hit.

Weekly Trade Idea

This Week

The markets changed directions this week as the EUR/USD fell
through support for 4 consecutive negative days before finding
some support at a low of 1.3361 and bouncing up to 1.3547.
Major resistance should be in the 1.3625 (.382 fib on the daily
chart) to 1.3650 (main monthly pivot) if you are looking for
additional short positions.

Last Week

The EUR/USD came right to our price zone at 1.3625-50 with a
low of 1.3642 before bouncing higher to a high of 1.3705. That
was a 63 pip gain. I still think price is going to have a tough
time breaking through the 1.3625-50 area because we have several
support levels in that zone. There is a .382 fib on the daily
chart at 1.3627 and S2 on the 60M chart is at 1.3628. There
is the main pivot on the daily chart at 1.3654 and a S1 pivot
on the 60m chart at 1.3645. That is a lot of resistance to
get through on a pair that is in a longer term uptrend. P/T's
will be 1.3671 (MP on 60M), 1.3688 (R1 on 60M) and 1.3715
(.382 fib and R2 on the 60M)

I was originally looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of
this, as I know Eric delivers real value, based on what he's done
in the past, but then I discovered the DayJobKiller and Affiliate
Project X Team were also involved, and we all know they are the
masters of the "Hyped" up promo launch...

I also personally found it difficult to make much profit with the
DJK tactics without spending a LOT of time, see my IMTesting blog

So I started reading the "ARS" report with a heavy dose of
scepticism...

I must admit the early stuff seemed pretty standard, but basically
useful, affiliate marketing advice, like make sure you have a
backend to hike up your profits (which was also covered recently by
Jason James's UMS), and make sure you use a squeeze page to grab
emails once you've tested a market/keyword for profitability with
direct linking.

The diagram on page 13 should give you a very clear of why you
should be doing this at the very least, if not starting to develop
your own products to follow the same process to its logical, and
far MORE PROFITABLE CONCLUSION...

New PPC Tips

Then there's some ppc advice in the following pages that was
totally NEW TO ME, including a couple of new twists on page 33, 34,
35, 36 & 37 (one simple change to increase your conversion rate by
200%!!!), as well as the very useful quality score info on page 38,
but still nothing earth shattering...

The fr.e.e Web 2 tactics from page 40+ is something that you should
already be doing, although the cloaking tip on page 46 could get
you in trouble, imho, as there's recently been a clamp down on this.

But the REAL VALUE comes when you hit page 54 (and on to page 65)!

Pay very close attention to what Eric covers here, I've only seen
it once before, in a high price AdWords PPC ebook released earlier
this year, and it's DYNAMITE FOR PPC campaigns, whether for
affiliate programs or for your own products.

You recognize it -- it goes like this…   “Practice Makes Perfect.” I’m sure that in most cases, that is true, but you’ll want to avoid “practicing” in the Forex world… unless you’re doing it the right way. Let me explain… One of the first things you’ll see when you start looking around the internet for info on Forex are demo accounts. Just about everyone, everywhere is offering a demo account. There are two things that I want to point out…   Most of the companies offering demo accounts have “dealing desks” – that’s a sure sign that something is up. (To see my beef with dealing desks, check out Secret #4) It’s the good, old-fashion puppy-dog close… get ‘em using the account and, after a while, they’re hooked. Unfortunately, the firms offering the best looking, slickest demo accounts aren’t necessarily offering the best services or information on the Forex market. You’ll notice that I don’t offer – or promote – demo accounts on my site, www.fxnationlive.com I bet you’re wondering why I don’t. Here’s why… Demo trading may be good for learning how to place orders and getting to know some of the mechanics of the platform, but nothing replaces the emotions of trading with real money.  Those emotions – the raw passion of watching real dollars and cents move in and out of your account – can be the making or breaking of your Forex trading. I suggest you get used to feeling – and most importantly – overcoming those emotions as quickly as possible.    A Demo Strategy Is NOT A Real Strategy   I have seen far too many traders THINK they have a profitable strategy on a demo… and then they lose everything once they start trading with real money. It is always the emotions that kill them. At the first sign of profit, or loss, they jump in and start changing things. And that is where they lose it. To avoid that pitfall, it is essential that you start with only risk capital. This should be funds that represent 5-10% of your total available capital and funds that you are OK with losing. Doing this will get you used to the emotional swells of being in the “trading room” and allow you to steel yourself against those emotions. So, I guess Granny was right after all… practice does make perfect… but only if you jump in with real money.   “Look Before You Leap” Now, does that mean that you should jump in blind? No, remember the other saying, “Look before you leap”? In the Forex market this means that you should get a solid, bulletproof strategy put together and have access to the top players in the market.
